Your global workforce can experience WeSpire content & communications in their native language with localization.

Localization is more than just words - it also affects 💷 currencies, ⏱ time & 🗓 date displays, and other textual features.

See the list at the bottom of this page for all available locales, and talk to your Customer Success Manager to enable the ones you want.

How Localization Works

  1. Your platform is set with a Default Locale and selected Alternate Locales. Users who visit with a browser set to an enabled Alternate Locale will then experience the platform interface and localized content in that language. Users with browsers set to locales not enabled will see a fallback locale (Spanish-Spain falls back to Spanish-Latin American, for example) or the default locale.
  2. Platform interface elements are localized, including:
  3. Where configured by Management Panel users, content is localized including:

Participation Events, Idea Boards , ‣

You can write these Activities in your desired language and then use the Content Filter functions to limit who can see them - so that only employees on the Japan team, for example, see a volunteering event written in Japanese.

Localization is available for:

Channels and Campaigns

Content that is localized represents the same data elements in each language, so social activity, reports, and program impact will all be aggregated across the localized items as if everyone was participating in the same locale.

If you do not wish to display the translated text, you can copy-paste the provided Default Locale text instead.

The Translate button will automatically translate all of the default locale text. You can then edit the text as you see fit, or write text from scratch. Click Save when you are done, and Back to Channel Details to return to the previous page.

Careful! Clicking Translate will overwrite any text already in the translation fields.
