Idea Board Best Practices

Key Elements:

Idea Board Description:

Make sure you address the following questions to maximize the motivation and ease of submitting:

  1. What are you asking for ideas about?
  2. Why are you asking?
  3. What is the reward (tangible or intrinsic) for responding/voting/having highest scoring idea?
  4. What are you going to do with the information?
  5. What is the deadline for submitting/voting?

Custom Fields:

Custom fields allow you to dig deeper, break up ideas into pieces, and categorize responses. By adding custom questions, you are able to ensure all submissions follow a similar schema and increase adherence to specifications in the Idea Board prompt.

Samples:

Sample 1: Survey of Employee priorities
