WeSpire has a suite of tools included in the Sustainability Module to enable carbon impact measurement, reduction, and reporting for your entire audience. Users will personally measure their footprint and take thematic actions to reduce their carbon emissions. They can see their own impact as well as the whole company and as an Admin you’ll get access to rich and detailed reporting.

Employee Carbon Management uses Imperial units (feet, pounds, etc). If using metric units is important for your program, please let your CSM know. We do not have a timeline for when metric will be available at the moment.

Users interact with Employee Carbon Management in this simplified flow:

Activation

Prompting your users to visit the Calculator and begin measuring and reducing their carbon impact is called Activation. Since the calculator lives at yourcompany.wespire.com/carbon_calculator, you can link directly to it anywhere hyperlinks are supported.

Example Activations

• Emails such asBroadcasts ,
• On your intranet page and in newsletters,
• Actions in Campaigns,
• A pop-up programmed by your CSM,
• and anywhere else you’d like.

For maximum user engagement with the calculator, use all these and more Activations.

Note: the calculator link is permanently displayed on the Carbon Footprint Page, but this is not considered an “Activation”, just a passive link - the user has already been “activated” because of their presence on the Carbon Footprint page already.

Calculator

Users can calculate their personal carbon footprint by answering a series of questions in a format similar to an online quiz. The estimated time to complete the quiz is 2-5 minutes. A user can re-take the quiz at any time to get a new estimate. See the video on the right to watch a user take the quiz from start to finish and learn all the questions.

When a user completes the quiz they are brought to the Carbon Footprint Page.

Carbon Footprint Page

The Carbon Footprint page is the home base for user carbon management.

The Carbon Footprint Page serves as the “home base” for the entire user experience around carbon management. Users can:

• See their quiz results & take the quiz again
• Reduce the impact of their emissions by supporting carbon reduction projects
• Read company background provided in “Why this matters”
• See their carbon action impact
• See the company carbon action impact
• Take carbon actions from a selection of curated campaigns

The Carbon Footprint page lives at yourcompany.wespire.com/carbon_footprint, so you can link to it directly anywhere hyperlinks are supported.

Carbon Impact Campaigns

Any campaigns published to the Take Action page from the Carbon Impact content module will be surfaced here to make it as easy as possible for users to take immediate action. Note: completing carbon actions does not automatically recalculate a user’s Estimated Carbon Footprint. Read “Configuring ECM Campaigns” below to learn more about how these Campaigns are set up.
