Competitions use the same main elements as Campaigns (actions and points) but with the additional elements of a Registration Timeframe and Team Leaderboards. Note: Please visit the User Roles & Permissions page to see how the levels of Management Panel access change your ability to publish content.
Competitions are different from campaigns as they have two time periods: competition registration timeframe and a competition timeframe.
During the registration timeframe, users cannot see any actions. This is intentional so no one gets a leg up by starting early! Actions become viewable at the start of the competition.
If there is an overlap between the two timeframes, and a user who is not registered for the competition tries to complete an action when the competition starts, they will be prompted to register for the competition.
You can optionally remove the 10 points earned for joining competitions.
If there is no overlap between the two timeframes (the registration timeframe ends before the competition timeframe begins), then someone who misses the registration period may not earn points in the competition (but they can see and complete actions).
Often, the Registration Period for the Competition is set to the same time frame as the Competition. But there are reasons for having a registration period that is different than the length of the Competition:
Competitions are different from campaigns, as Admins can select and limit how scores are displayed.

Add the Teams that will be competing against each other into the Campaign Visibility field in Step 1 of campaign builder.
