🏃‍♀️ Wearable Device Fitness Tracking

You can test how linking a wearable fitness device works to log activity on Akamai Spark.

The device ecosystem is large and constantly changing, so while we tried to as many devices available and track metrics equally across all, there may be some gaps or hiccups. That's why you're here!

The best way to tell if your device is supported is to try to connect it and see what happens. 🤷‍♀️

🍎 Apple and Google Fit device users: you must first follow the test procedure for the mobile app above, then do the steps below. Apple devices and Google Fit devices cannot be connected via the web because of policy choices made by Apple and Google.

If you have other types of devices, you can connect using a web browser by visiting akamai.staging.wespire.com.

  1. Log in with Single Sign On and ensure the Fitness Tracker Test team is selected for you. Visit your Settings Page if not.
  2. Browse the Take Action page and select the Fitness Tracker testing campaign.
  3. Connect your device.
  4. Use your device to track your fitness activity. The four actions in the campaign should reflect the activity you're tracking. Check back daily to see if its working.
  5. Log your feedback for all tests above here:

✍️ Content Creator Making Accumulation Actions

Accumulation Actions is the name of the feature that allows for tracking of a repeated activity such as steps or minutes of activity. For device linking to be available, an Action must be set up as an Accumulation Action in a Campaign or Competition. Content Creators (anyone with access to Management Panel) can test the ability to configure an Accumulation Action in a Campaign.

You will need Admin privileges to test Content Creation. Create an account on akamai.staging.wespire.com and email [email protected] if you do not see Management Panel in your options in the top right.

Do not use mobile devices for this test - Management Panel does not support mobile.
