Actions are the key element of Campaigns and Competitions. As an Admin, you can edit and create Actions on step 3 of the Campaign Wizard. Below you'll learn about the tools available at your fingertips for creating robust Actions that serve your needs.
Content
Act Name
This required field is the name of your act and is limited to 90 characters or less.
Action Description
This required field describes how a User can complete an act and why it's important that they do. Feel free to mark up the text or include hyperlinks to internal and external resources.
Points
Here's where you determine how many points a User earns when marking this act complete. Points are pre-set values and default to 5, 10, 15, 20.

User Requirements
Require a User to leave a comment, submit a photo, or tag another user in order to mark an action complete.
Recommendations: Use sparingly (1-2 per campaign) unless you're running a competition and seek more validation and "proof" that an employee is doing the actions they're doing.
Location Tags
No longer an available feature. Deprecated.
Visibility
Here's where you set which teams can see this action. Remember there's a campaign level visibility set on step 1 of the Campaign Wizard, but this where you can determine which teams see which specific actions.
E.g. In a Green Commuting Campaign, one company included team visibility on several Actions so they could list the commuting benefits offered to employees at those local sites.
Required for Campaign Completion
Check this box if you want to make completing this action required for a User to earn the Campaign Achievement.
Use sparingly. Useful if you're trying to highlight the most important action by making it mandatory as it will visually stand out from the rest.
Timeframe
If the Timeframe is left blank, the act's existence will match the campaign's existence. However, if you would like an act to appear for only a specific duration of the campaign's timeframe, add the act's start and end date here. To help you understand exactly when an Act will start and end, there's a tool tip that appears letting you know the action will be released in the Users's local time.
This is a useful feature if you'd like to have warm-up actions at the start of a Campaign or Competition, or if you'd like to release actions a few weeks into the timeframe.
Progress Configuration
Keep the radio button on Action Repetition if Users should be able to earn points each time they complete an action.
If Users are to track progress towards a goal, then click Accumulation Action. For instructions on how to set up an Accumulation Action, see below.
Can Only Complete Once
Check this box if you want a User to only be able to complete this action once when while the Campaign is live. Otherwise, a User will be able to complete the action again once the Cooldown expires.
Cooldown Period
Here's where you can determine how long a User is prevented from completing the action again. Answer options are 1 minute, 12 hours, 1 week, and 1 month. If you're looking for a more permanent Cooldown, use the Can Only Complete Once button.
Cooldowns are useful in competitive situations where Users are trying to earn many points. Coupled with user requirements, they can be very effective at decreasing gamer behavior.
Have you ever wanted to calculate your progress towards a larger goal? Enter Accumulation Actions. Rather than just marking an Action complete once, Accumulation Actions allow your users to log their progress towards a goal. For example, if I want to log my daily steps towards a 50,000 steps per week goal, I would use an Accumulation Action.
