The WeSpire Wellbeing Module was created to encourage employees to live healthier lifestyles. The module is aimed at enhancing employees’ holistic health by improving both their emotional and physical health. Programs in the module target Meditation & Mindfulness, Family-Work Life Integration, Healthy Living, and Fitness & Movement to engage employees to make positive changes to their lifestyles, both in the workplace and at home.

Why Wellbeing engagement is important

Wellbeing directly affects employees’ attitudes about work, their performance, productivity, and relationships. In addition, happy and satisfied employees place more trust in their supervisors, and are more willing to participate in reaching company goals and in voicing their opinions and ideas. Employees with better wellbeing stay at companies longer, are absent less, and perform better, which is ultimately reflected in financial performance. When a company’s employees are happy and healthy, the benefits extend past within the company. Research has shown that employee wellbeing is also positively associated with customer satisfaction.

The Wellbeing Module targets four themes around holistic employee health and happiness, focusing on both employees’ mental wellbeing and physical health.

Wellbeing Module Highlights

The Wellbeing Module offers educational and interactive campaigns that engage employees in exciting ways to increase awareness about taking care of themselves. For example, the Mindful Eating 101 campaign was created with author Heather Sears, and is based on her award-winning book, Mind to Mouth: A Busy Chick's Guide to Mindful Mealtime Moments. The campaign is focused on actions that promote a healthy and positive mindset about food.

Another successful campaign was the Don’t Fall Into Bad Habits campaign, which WeSpire helped a large global food company design as their Wellness Autumn Challenge in the Fall of 2018. This campaign was aimed at helping employees stay healthy and active in their lifestyle choices. The campaign had over 120 employees participate, who took 2,970 actions total about managing their health.
