Functionality Overview

Participation Events have previously required a physical location to be set, assuming that volunteers would be participating together to support local charities, corporate events, or other physical gatherings. Given the current challenges of participating physically, we've enhanced Participation Events to better support virtual participation, allowing events to be physical only (participating in person), digital only (participating virtually), or hybrid physical and digital.

Management Panel: Configuring Virtual Events

In Management Panel, Participation Events now have an optional Join Virtually URL field available. Events can

The Join Virtually URL field should be populated with the conferencing solution for the event, such as Zoom, Skype, Webex, or solution of your choice. Additional details for joining, such as detailed instructions on audio bridge (call-in numbers) can be added into the existing Important Information field, if desired.

Participation Event Email Updates

Participation Event emails have all been updated to include digital event support, displaying the physical address, Join Virtually link, or both, based upon the event configuration.

Employees will now find the physical location, Join Virtually, or both depending upon the event configuration. An external link icon has also been added to indicate that the link will take the user off the WeSpire platform to the virtual event conferencing link.
