Made a donation off the WeSpire platform, and want it to be matched using your existing match balance? Enter the Retroactive Match Tool.

Let's say you attended a gala and donated in person that evening, or donated directly to your friend's road race two weeks ago, or wanted to utilize the existing 3:1 match your favorite non-profit is facilitating during their giving season. As long as these charities match your company's matching restrictions, you can still request a corporate match using this tool.

How Retroactive Matching Works

  1. An employee fills out the Retroactive Match Tool to request a match.
  2. The requests will populate within the admin portal.
  3. A company’s Admin can easily approve or deny the match request.
  4. Once request has been approved or denied, the employee is notified via email.
  5. The match will be paid during the next scheduled distribution after approval of the request.

How Employees submit Retroactive Match Requests:

In order to submit a request to have an offline donation matched, the “Make a Donation Match Request” form will ask you a series of questions about the offline donation you made.

  1. Enter your work email (in all lowercase letters) in our Retroactive Match Tool and click "Verify."

    A screen will appear asking you to verify your account. Select "Yes."

  1. Once verified, your remaining match balance will be listed. Please note, once you submit your request, your displayed match balance DOES NOT automatically update. It needs to pass the final approval step.

  1. Complete charity and donation information:

  2. Once you've completed those steps, your Retroactive Match Request goes to the team for approval.
