Log Your Volunteer Hours is a form available from the User profile or from the Volunteer History Page. It is available to all Users using the Social Impact Module. It works seamlessly with the Volunteering Events module to capture and report on employee volunteerism.
User will add the number of hours volunteered. Hours can only be logged for a single day so the range accepted is from 0.25 to 24 hours. Time must be added in quarter-hour increments.
This is where the User will add the information about the organization who benefitted from their time.
Registered Organizations
By default, the platform is synced with the US registry of Charitable Organizations. When “Search Registered Organizations” is selected, the User will be able to search for their organization by name and select it from the dropdown.
Added Organizations
If the User is logging hours for a non-US organization or for an entity that is not a registered charity at all, they can select the option to “Search Added Organizations”
This option allows for support of flexible volunteering policies. For example, the “Added Organizations” option can be used if company policy encourages logging hours for helping a neighbor shovel snow or if the individual is volunteering for a company Green Team or Employee Resource Group.
If the User doesn’t see their organization listed in the “Added Organization” list, they have the option to add a new organization to the list so that the organization will be available for them and others from your company in the future.
The User will need also enter the location of their volunteering. This forces the user to select a city and state or country from a database of global locations.
<aside> 🌍 NOTE: While the field label indicates the the search is only available for city and state, it is a global search tool that supports locations across all countries:

User can select from any of the customer volunteer categories you set for your company. This way, all volunteering — manually logged or from event registrations — is categorized for your impact reporting.
The User will enter the date the volunteering occurred. This date must be in the past to prevent Users from logging volunteering that may not happen.
Details added in this section will appear as a comment posted to the Dashboard feed as well as on the User’s profile. Users can tag another user and/or upload a photo as well.
Users can describe the volunteering and share what they learned. This field is required.
Users can optionally tag colleagues if they volunteered together. The tag feature will search all available Users for your company.
User can optionally add a photo of their volunteering.
