Write a short, clear name so that people understand what the event is about at a glance. Good event names include āTrivia Night at WeSpireā and āVolunteer for the Company 5kā.
The title field has a 40 character maximum so people can still read it easily on mobile devices.
This a 175 character-long description of your event that will be displayed at the top of the page. Use it to describe the benefit to the participant, ie: "Gain new skills and network with your colleagues by joining the after-school tutoring program."
These event types are recorded for reporting purposes.
Choose "Non-volunteering" if you do not want participant hours added to the Volunteering Impact report.
Let users know who to contact if they have questions about your Event. This name and email will appear below the Event description when Users view your Event.
This is where you can indicate the organization that benefits from the volunteering Event you are creating (ie American Red Cross).
Or you can indicate the group that is organizing a non-volunteering event (ie Company Marketing Department).
Use the "501(c)(3) Organization" field to search the U.S. database of IRS charities by name, location, or EIN.
Use the "Custom Organization" field to search the database of manually added organizations in the WeSpire database. Or to add a new one.
