When a User goes to join a Group, they are asked if they would like to keep their membership private. This feature is useful for Users who want access to a group, but don't want that aspect of their identity to be known. For example, someone who wants access to the LGBTQIA group, but doesn't want that to be publically connected to their WeSpire account.

What does this privacy level mean for the users themselves and for the administrators of the group?

On the Group's Members Page

• Members are visible to all members.
• Anonymous members are not visible on the membership page.

In Group Reporting

• Both Members and Anonymous members are visible to Group leadership in reporting.
